CrowdAir delivers low cost and accurate portable Monitors that measure air quality variables (particles and gases). Through mobile and web apps we show air quality at thousands of points at the most polluted cities worldwide and deliver personalized time-critical hints. We improve human health and Life Quality by empowering people to collaborate gathering data on air pollution from which we can generate and share valuable decision making information. Empowered by live information, individuals stop being passive smog breathers and develop a collaborative community that will improve awareness towards air pollution. CrowdAir uses emerging technologies to build low cost Monitors that populate real time maps that show actual air conditions. Through smart alerts, by displaying cleaner air routes they can be used to commute or exercise. By making air quality visible, we help individuals protect their families and themselves and we help the authority to stop air pollution spills.
